I’ve been active as researcher, consultant and entrepreneur in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining for over 25 years.
I was one of the founders of the data mining practice in Cap Gemini in the 1990s and was CTO of a successful AI startup. Before joining Deloitte I was an assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and I hold a PhD in AI from that institution. I have a keen focus on the development of AI-enabled solutions and extensive experience applying AI techniques in a variety of public and private sector domains. I joined Deloitte in 2018 to contribute to the use of artificial intelligence, particularly in our forensics practice, but also with a wider remit. I am AI lead for Financial Advisory in NL and I lead the AI Centre Of Excellence
