Indian Dutch Cyber Security School
The Indian Dutch Cyber Security School is an online School organized by a number of organizations from both the Netherlands and India. The 2020 edition presented:
- More than 900 participants from India and The Netherlands
- 20 multidisciplinary lectures by distinguished lecturers
- 5 challenges will require the participants solution
- 6 weeks dedicated to the advanced knowledge and active engagement of participants on the field of cybersecurity
I4ADA presented one of the lectures on Accountability in the Digital Age and will review one of the challenges.

The report ‘Accountability Paper – Vision 2020, Taking Stock & Looking Forward’ on the 2019 summit is now available. You can download the report or read it online. I4ADA chair Frits Bussemaker joined a podcast from boundless to discuss de-mystifying data for the CEO.
🎧 In this episode, Frits and Ryan discuss their experiences with talking about AI in the Enterprise. The challenges they have witnessed around different language, context and nuances that can derail a successful project. We talk about the lack of data literacy in the boardroom, how to think about an AI strategy and how to avoid hype. The conversation moved on to accountability and specifically accountability by design. Both Ryan and Frits talked about the need for self-governance by organisations on their AI projects. Ryan talked openly about how we used to think in a very binary fashion about projects and their return on investment potential and why he no longer feels like this. How he has changed his mind about what matters. I finished the episode by asking these experts what is the biggest misconception about AI in the Enterprise. I hope you enjoy hearing their answers.

The webinar “How to develop Accountable AI Solutions?” as part of ITU’s AI for Good webinar series is now available online!
On July 2nd the Institute for Accountability in the Digital Age (I4ADA) hosted the webinar. Aimee van Wynsberghe covered the role of humans, trust and ethics, Jan Kleijssen presented the Council of Europe’s approach to establish a legal framework for AI. The session was moderated by Arthur van der Wees and Frits Bussemaker of I4ADA.
