I4ADA Dialogue with David Jensen, Coordinator of the UNEP (UN Environment Programme) Digital Transformation Programme and Co-champion of the Coalition for Digital Environmental Sustainability (CODES)

What is the UN environmental programme about? Where does digital transformation come in? How can efficient digital technologies help enable and facilitate? What climate footprint and other environmental implications does the technology industry create? How to come to climate-friendly and otherwise sustainable digital transformation capabilities? What to do about the increasing concentration of power with technologies companies? How to rebalance the growing imbalance of power, even towards the UN itself? What are governance and related accountability examples that redistribute power and benefits? How to make sure the voice of the world population is taken in? Which fora could facilitate the needed convening of multi-stakeholders, at large scale? How to engage these needed large amounts of people? How to correctly and usefully collect and process massive amounts of data and other input, while aiming to accelerate (data for) the SDGs and its targets? This Dialogue dives into these and related important matters.
