TaiwanPlus is the premier international media platform providing English-language news and entertainment from Taiwan. Their show CONNECTED invited Arthur van der Wees, board member of the Institute for Accountability in the Digital Age was invited to share his insights on Artificial General Intelligence and the need for accountability.

The show explores what AGI means for our societies, our economies and the future of human agency. Are we prepared for machines that can think (and act) like us? Chatbots like ChatGPT are only the start. What happens when AI can think for itself? The show explores the dangers and the promises of artificial general intelligence (AGI): from disinformation and social inequality to smarter governance and stronger defenses. Can AGI become a force for good before it becomes a threat?
